A Day in Gig Harbor, WA

Gig Harbor is one of THE cutest towns on the west coast.  Hands down.  And I’ve definitely had the best tour guide ever.  Melissa and her family have been SO inviting and kind and her daughters (even though they can’t remember my name) won my heart from the first second I met them.  When you see them below, you’ll understand why.

This wasn’t my plane, but 747s are SO huge.  I’m just fascinated.  So I took this photo on my layover in Detroit.

Sometimes I just need to satisfy my photojournalistic side. And Seattle’s airport definitely helped with that.

When Melissa picked me up and we got the girls, we headed to the park… and for a walk in the forest.

If this photo doesn’t show all of their personalities, nothing else will!

Then we headed to the cutest little fruit stand and meat shop to grab dinner.

The glass case of the meat shop made. my. day.

And then the girls started to dance… and my week was MADE.  SO SWEET!

Yesterday morning Melissa and I headed to Crossfit where we had our booties kicked.  But in that crazy Crossfit way, it was super awesome too.
After a slight recovery and breakfast with the family, Melissa and I headed down to the adorable downtown area of Gig Harbor.
Just know that these photos do NOT do it justice.

Don’t know if you can see her or not, but the older lady on her deck is soaking up the sun and we came this close to asking if we could join her!

Sorry… just had to include this! lol

And this tree??  I’ve never seen anything like it!  Apparently though, it’s called a Monkey Tree.

I’m not gonna lie, it’s nice having talented friends around to help document places I go!

Love her…

Thank you wind for being so amazing yesterday.

I don’t know about y’all, but this little boat ride wrapped up the perfect day.  No, I didn’t ride it, but I would LOVE to take it home with me as a souvenir.

I know I’ve told Melissa this a jillion times, but holy COW she looks like my best friend from high school. It’s uncanny! And her daughters are freaking adorable. That red hair! I die!
