A Macro Lens – for Your Phone!

Several weeks ago, I talked about these macro filters that I love!  But, what I didn’t expect was for this little gem to show up in my stocking at Christmas!  Ben is so good at surprises (now that I’ve learned not to ask too many questions or get all Sherlock Holmes on a situation) and somehow he finds the most fun things.  Well, I figured out his secret this Christmas, so I decided to share it with all of you!

If you haven’t heard of or checked out photojojo, well, now’s your chance.  But, I’ll warn you ahead of time to go ahead and plan on at least 30 minutes over there!  There’s a lot of fun stuff!

So, onto the macro lens.  Guys, I’m not kidding, this thing is so fun and so easily transportable.  Now, I won’t be using this at weddings to get ring shots or anything, but it just adds a little extra to the photos I take with my phone when Ben and I are out and about.

The filter is on a (sturdy) rubber band and comes on this handy little card which helps keep me from losing it!

Then it fits on your phone… just like this.  Easy peasy!

This was Ben’s granddad’s camera that took who knows how many photos while living in Africa!
This is a “normal” iPhone photo…

And these next two are closeups using the macro lens.

Regular iPhone photo of Valentine’s flowers….

Closeup of the inside of the rose.

Not bad for a ring shot with my PHONE!  This little macro filter still amazes me. I love it!
(Gosh, I need to get my ring cleaned!)

Happy Wednesday!
