A Sneak Peek of What’s Coming…

When I was 11 or 12 years old, my parents let me redecorate my room.  I think this was even the time that my brother and I switched rooms so it was all completely new!  I traded my queen sized bed for a day bed (my reasoning being that one day when I went to college that I would be sleeping in a twin bed, so I should get used to it now!  What kid thinks like that??).  I traded my comforter that was patterned with primary color hearts for one that was gray, blue and had pink ribbons.  And I painted my walls… wait for it… SPONGE painted them pink.  PINK!  Y’all, I really don’t know what came over me.  But, at the time, I loved it.  It was all new and I had chosen all of it and painted those walls myself!  But I was a pre-teen and didn’t realize what kind of person I would grow into or how my tastes would change.  And boy did they change.

By the time the summer of 8th grade rolled around, I had far outgrown this bedroom.  And with that year being one of the most difficult of our lives, all of us needed some change that year.  So, my mom let me redo my room again.  I even got to choose new carpet!  So, while I kept a twin bed, I traded the daybed for one with a bookshelf headboard, got an armoire (that I still kind of miss), replaced the gold (or maybe red) shag carpet with a soft dark forest green carpet, updated my comforter to a green one that complimented the carpet, and painted the walls Sunsilk Yellow.  It was a muted/soft yellow that I still love even though we’ve since sold that house and I’m sure the walls have been painted over.

What happened though was that I grew up.  I matured.  I better understood who I was and what I liked and what fit ME.

And that same thing is happening with my business.  When I started, I loved what my designer came up with.  It fit who I was then and it worked for several years!  But, I’ve grown, I’ve matured, and I’m realizing that my tastes have changed.

There are some super exciting things happening over at Photographs by Sabrina and while there’s a lot that’s still in progress, I can give you a peek at what’s to come.  No really, it’s super awesome!!  And no, we aren’t moving to France ;-)

I love this! What a great way to consider the changes that come with a maturing business. I love the sneak peek and can’t wait to see the finished project. Congrats!
