Anytime | Arica’s Journey, Part 3

Y’all have seen Arica on the blog before… she’s one of my best friends!  But what you’ve also been able to see is her journey in losing weight.  And let me tell you, she’s SO inspiring!  This has NOT been an easy trek, but she has stuck with it and surrounded herself with people that help keep her going.  I really believe that’s the key to just about everything in life.  God created us to be in community and when we surround ourselves with people that know us and love us and support us and even call us out when we’re not making good decisions, we’re all the better for it.  Trust me, I’ve been there!  It’s not easy when people tell you to straighten up or stop doing something that you’ve found yourself in, but to think of where I could be without friends doing that?  Well, let’s just say it’s not a pretty picture.

We decided January would be a fun time for her to come to South Carolina, partially to celebrate our 10 years of friendship!  And… Arica is getting so close to her goal of losing 100 pounds!  She’s still a little ways away and has banished her scale from her life right now so she doesn’t know the number, but she can tell a difference in how her clothes are fitting and she asked if we could take a few pictures when she was in town just so she could have something to see and compare.  So, if you’d like to take a quick walk down memory lane with her, you can see Part 1 and Part 2 of her journey!

This was at our wedding in November 2011, just before she started working out and eating more healthy.

And she brought the same dress with her to see the difference!  I LOVE it!!

Then we hopped downtown for a few shots before lunch…

So… Arica started dating Chris in November and he was able to come with her so he could try and get our approval we could meet him.

Needless to say, if he keeps making her smile like this, then he’s a keeper!

Arica, I hope these photos are as encouraging to you as YOU have been to so many people, especially to me.  Love you, friend!
