Birthday Week Giveaways | Day 4 | Out of Print Clothing

Can you believe it’s Day 4 already??  We’ve already given away so many awesome things, but even better, we’ve helped several people!  I really don’t know how it could get any better than that.

I know y’all are anxious to hear who won yesterday’s giveaway from 31Bits and I really wish I could insert a drumroll right here…. and the winner is…. Arica Colley!!!  I was so excited when her name popped up as the winner!  Congrats, friend!  Arica is probably one of my biggest cheerleaders and she’s been getting the word out about these giveaways so it made it even more exciting that she won!

So now, onto Day 4.  Going into this week I knew of 3 companies that I immediately wanted to highlight, fashionABLE (from Monday), 31Bits (from yesterday) and Toms (coming tomorrow!!).  So I’d thought about only doing giveaways on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday…. but the more I thought about it, the more I really wanted to do this all week long!  So, Ben and I set out to find a couple more companies that we liked and could really stand behind.  Sevenly (from Tuesday) came up pretty quickly and the more I looked at that one, the more excited I got about it (since Monday, they’ve funded NINE rescue missions!).  So, I just needed one more.  And then, Ben found Out of Print Clothing.  At first, I was really confused.  I didn’t see how in the world this would help.  Plus, I didn’t know what their name meant! But, as soon as I read their mission, I was sold.  They print shirts and different items with the covers of old and well-known books that are no longer in print (the artwork, not the books themselves).  And for every item sold from their site, they donate a book to a community in need of books because they may not have access to them.  Um, for this girl that grew up reading and would get lost in the pages of a book every day if she could… that’s awesome.

So, I loved getting all of the comments about this week of giveaways that you guys left on Monday (no really, getting comments on the blog is seriously SUCH a highlight for every post that I put up!). So, I added that as one of the entry options below.  BUT, you must go through the items in the box below for it to count.  If you’d like to leave a comment without entering, I’m great with that too… but they have some pretty awesome shirts on their website so it would be totally worth it to enter! :-)

Happy Thursday, everyone!

PS – Thanks so much to all of you who have been participating and spreading the word!  It has made my week that we’ve been able to introduce these companies and the lives they’re helping to more and more people each day!!

  1. Shannon H. says:

OOOO – favorite book of all-time. Super tough. Cannot pick – except, I LOVED Pride and Prejudice and can read it over and over. So yes, I am a hopeless romantic. But there it is.

  2. Dayna says:

YAY for books!!! You need to bookmark this page for when you guys have kids: http://www.wegivebooks.org/ – for every book you read with your kids online (my kids LOVE this) they donate books. So fun and FREE!

  3. Grace Custer says:

Favorite book of all time These Happy Golden Years. But I really love all the Laura Ingalls Wilder books.

  4. Stephanie says:

My favorite book has got to be Anne of Green Gables, I love that entire series and read it over and over. :)

  5. W. Jason Griffith says:

My favorite childhood book, THE FLUNKING OF JOSHUA T. BATES. It was my third grade in one book.

  6. Shellie says:

Favorite book of all time: the BIBLE!!! It is the only book I read now with 4 kids!!! I am enjoying this period of time with my kids, and I guess I do read other books, but they are books on my 3 and 7 years old level =-). Some day I will read again MANY books, but for now I am enjoying life as it is. Thank you Sabrina for this fun contest. I don’t usually enter contests on line, or elsewhere because I am afraid we will get tons of junk mail or calls, but since you are family and they are also worthy causes =-)… Thanks and looking forward to seeing you tonight!
    Shellie

  7. Joanna says:

Favorite book of all time: PRIDE AND PREJUDICE!!! (In every language…especially English and French!)

  8. Carly Caldwell says:

Its too hard to pick one book!! I’ll go with the Harry Potter series!

  9. Kristin C. says:

Favorite book of all time would probably have to be The Secret Garden. I remember this was one of the only books as a child I actually read and enjoyed. Now I could name a ton of books I like, but as a kid who didn’t like to read at all this one is especially close to me.

  10. Ginny says:

    Ramona books!!! And Redeeming Love.
And – your giveaways get cooler every day!!

  11. Jenn Davis says:

I really love the Harold and the Purple Crayon book and shirt, but love the style of the Pride and Prejudice shirt. What a fun week of giveaways! Happy Birthday!

  12. Sarah K says:

that’s hard!….I really love mysteries with a little romance.

  13. Chrystie says:

I have too many to name! I have no idea what book I would choose. Guilty pleasure was The Hunger Games Series.

  14. Arica says:

Favorite book — that’s a tough one. Probably Pride & Prejudice or Redeeming Love. Could read either of those over & over. Along with the Bible of course…but that’s a given right? :)

I’m super excited to have won too!!! Yay!

  15. Meredith says:

    Telling Secrets by Frederick Buechner!

  16. Anna Poe says:

Favorite book of all time???? Does the Bible count? (Just kidding… kind of). Probably Dear John. Which is SO lame… I know.

  17. Pride and Predjudice!

  18. Kadie Freeman says:

At the moment I am reading Eden Derailed and absolutely loving it… but some of the fictional favorites I always return to are Wuthering Heights, the Mary Poppins series, the Ender Quartet, A Wrinkle in Time, Rebecca… And now I feel like rereading all of these :)

  19. Meghan says:

    Babysitter’s Club books!

  20. Emily says:

My favorite book of all time would have to be “Welcome to the Monkeyhouse” by Vonnegut. Yes, it’s a collection of short stories, but I’ve read it about 45 times at least-and it’s falling apart :(

  21. Mandy says:

I read a lot so I have a lot of favorites. The Bible definitely…if I had to pick another – To Kill A Mockingbird.

  22. Andrea Johnston says:

I would choose The Very Hungary Caterpillar – a favorite of my kiddos!
