Birthday Week Giveaways | Market Colors

The hardest part about living in a broken world is knowing that we will never be able to fully fix anything on this side of heaven.  But there are things we can do to make an impact, to make a difference in the lives of a few, which has ripple effects and can affect the lives of many!

Market Colors strives to do just that.  They train men and women in craftsmanship in order to earn an income and provide for themselves, children and families.  So when you purchase something from this shop, not only will you receive a beautifully hand made item but you’ll be supporting someone that is striving for a better life.

This infinity scarf is “The Lorelai” and was made by Felesta.  It’s so soft and just beautiful!  Her story is on the little black and white tag you see underneath the red Market Colors tag.  When her first husband died, her second husband turned out to be abusive.  But after her community of craftsmen began praying and talking with him, Felesta’s home life has improved drastically.

And I think that’s what gets me about this company… they aren’t just helping give a stepping stone out of poverty, the community that has been created through Market Colors is also creating life change for people.  And if doing something as small as purchasing a scarf that one of them has made helps support and encourage things like that, then I’m 100% on board!

I hope that you’ll enter to win this scarf by using the entry form below… but even more so, I hope you’ll visit their website, meet the craftsmen, and do some shopping!  And then come back to do some more :-)
