Canvas Wraps

So, I mentioned a while back that we had gotten one of our wedding images (by the amazing Jana Candler) put onto a LARGE canvas wrap.  We ordered a 30×40 inch canvas to go in our dining room and I think I might have squeeled as I placed the order.  I was so excited but nervous at the same time.  I know I always say bigger is better, but…. was this TOO big??

When I came home one day and saw the massive box on our porch I was a little scared.  However, it’s a 30×40 inch piece of art that’s on our wall and even with my tiny bit of apprehension… I. LOVE. IT!!!  We love our wedding pictures and while I still have yet to get an album together, we HAVE gotten a few prints and now, this massive canvas :-)  I order all of my canvases from Pixel2Canvas and could not love them more.  Yes, they’re a little pricier than other places around but wow.  Their customer service alone has been worth the extra money.  When we first received our 30×40, we were hanging it up and realized there was something on it… it looked like a scratch but I couldn’t remember if it had been there before I’d taken it out of its bag or if we had done it while trying to hang it.  I tried to gently scrub it off with a damp cloth (like they suggest), but it wasn’t going anywhere.  So, I emailed them with a picture and they emailed me right back saying they would reprint it asap.  We put ours back in the box and on the front porch, it was picked up and a new one was delivered about a week later.  Amazing!  I love them.  Plus, each time they send a canvas, I get a new little rubber ducky as you might have seen on Twitter or in my Instagram feed not too long ago :-)

Now, I’m not an interior decorator, but our little home is perfect for us.

I think what I love most about these is they come ready to hang. Which means I don’t have to shop for a frame (please see comment about decorating above).

To give you an idea about the size, I took down the 30×40 canvas and put my 16×20 bridal portrait (by the fabulous Kim DeLoach) in its place.

The 16×20 is TINY in this space!!
I’ve never been sorry for ordering something larger and while I was a little worried about the 30×40, I haven’t regretted it for a second!

  1. I really want to order a canvas from our wedding! It’s so crazy how canvas sizes sound HUGE but they never are! I’ve never seen a canvas and thought to myself, man that person must have underestimated how big that was…it’s always the opposite!!

I LOVE huge art! I have a painting I did last year that’s 5 feet x 5 feet and it takes up a whole wall in my room but it’s amazing to look at! I can’t wait to have wedding images to put up on huge canvases!!!! It looks great, the 30×40 is definitely better in that space than the 16×20, and that’s a big size for a photograph!
