Christine + Jason | Downtown Greenville Wedding Photographer

Even though they had been attending the same church for years, they didn’t notice each other until Christine’s sister mentioned him to her.  At the same time, her brother-in-law (without knowing what his wife had done), mentioned her to Jason.  But neither was really interested at the time.

Over the next couple of years, their paths began to cross more and more… and while their group of friends grew and intertwined, Jason began to take notice.  As they themselves became friends, he also noticed her more and more as she interacted with her friends, served at church, and laughed with abandon.  After two years of building their friendship, Jason realized that he wanted to know this woman even more and they began dating.

Since the Lord had been working in the two of them for the previous two years, it didn’t take them long to realize that they would be walking down the aisle together.  So, as they strolled the gardens at the Biltmore Estate one fall evening, the sun began to go down and that’s when Jason went down on one knee.

This past Saturday, as Christine and Jason became husband and wife, friends and family from all over did their best to hold back the tears. But other than a few tears here and there, these two were full of nothing but laughter!  We had so much fun with them, their families and the wedding party!  Christine and Jason, thank you SO much for allowing us to capture your first day as husband and wife.  It truly was an honor to be with you and be welcomed in as part of the family!  I hope you’re having a blast in Cancun… soak up some sun for me!

The day began at the Marriott in downtown Greenville.

Christine is a sculptor and made all of the ornament favors by hand… she even made sure to include a peacock feather.

Even her hair piece was a peacock feather!

A six pence in her wedding shoes and her Converse All Stars for the reception!

Jan Williams did an amazing job with the florals.

Shannon (Christine’s sister) said they’d been going to Kim Brooks for their hair for at least 8 years… so it was only fitting she be there for Christine’s wedding.

Her dad came in to see his baby girl in her wedding gown…

and that’s when my heart melted.

I love when couples opt to have a First Look.  Not only does it give them lots more images, but it also gives them so much more time together on their wedding day!

Priceless.

Christine, you are gorgeous… partly because of that smile that Jason so easily puts on your face.

We made our way through downtown with a couple of stops between the hotel and the church.

And then I turned to see this gorgeous light behind us.

If laughter does indeed add years to your life, these two gained at least 10 more years on their wedding day!

Lily Catherine MELTED my heart with these!  Ben got the one on the left as she ran to “Tine” and I captured the one on the right as she ran to her daddy.

These girls were a LOT of fun.  Obvi.

Ben got this one of Shannon’s flowers and I’m oh so thankful!

Christine!  Are you kidding me??  I really think you ought to set aside the hoodie and jeans more often ;-)

GORgeous, Christine.  You’re simply gorgeous.

Christine’s parents lived and worked in Scotland before she was born, so in honor of them, she and Jason hired Kenneth MacCallum to play the bagpipes at the wedding!

That’s Christine’s fingerprint on the inside of Jason’s ring.  This is THE most unique ring I’ve ever seen!

Remember how I said Christine is a sculptor?  She also made the cup from which they took communion during their ceremony.

And then it was time!

I LOVE that Ben was able to get their first kiss from this perspective!

That’s right… this is when the bagpiper led everyone to the reception!

I have to thank Christine Faust of Faust Events for coordinating the day.  Everything from beginning to end was flawless!

Not surprisingly, they laughed through their entire first dance!

Ben caught this one and I love it.

Not only was their wedding cake beautifully made by Brick Street Cafe, but it was their amazingly delicious sweet potato cake. If you haven’t had it, you must try it!

The DJ, Sam Brooks of Pros Only Entertainment, was AMAZING!  He not only played music, but he sang some too!
