I am so glad you're here! This is my little corner where I get to share some of my most favorite images from engagements, weddings, births, my travels and my own little family from time to time. Hang out, look around, and please reach out to say hello!
She was getting married. No matter what the forecast said, by the end of the day, she was going to be Mrs. Whitmire and she was determined to just enjoy the day and getting to become Daniel’s wife. And with the 100% chance of rain, they had an indoor plan they were most likely going to use.
But after they prayed together and guests were starting to arrive, I looked outside and the clouds were thinning out. It really looked like the rain was going to hold off! Destiny looked at the DJ who had just finished setting up his equipment inside, she looked at her mom, she looked at everyone around her with tears in her eyes and a tremble in her voice asking if they wouldn’t mind making her dream wedding come true so that she could get married outside.
And you know what? EVERYONE pulled together and made it happen! 100+ chairs were set up outside in no time, the DJ packed up and unpacked again in the field, and Destiny walked down the grassy aisle toward her soon-to-be-husband and the most beautiful fall backdrop of mountains and changing leaves!
And Destiny wasted no time in thanking God for holding off the rain for them! It was a beautiful day and we were so honored to have been there to celebrate and capture it for them (a huge thanks to my wonderful second shooter for the day, Laci Frazier!).
Oh my goodness, her dress was GORGEOUS.
Destiny, you were a stunning bride!!
It was raining a little bit when we were taking these, but they were just inside the barn and the lighting was beautiful!
PS – Don’t you LOVE the different bridesmaid dresses?
Y’all. This flower girl was a doll. And she might have actually stolen the show!
She was also bribed with about 30 cookies to take her thumb out of her mouth for photos ;-) But how sweet is she??
I guess the cookie count finally was high enough for her to make taking her thumb out worth her while ;-)
Oh I love this side shot that Laci captured!
The photo about sums up how sweet Destiny’s son was to her all day…
Do you see those thinning clouds?? They never actually parted completely, but this was all we needed!
I mean, the cuteness at this wedding was not lacking at all!
They’re married!!
They each had a dinner plate with their vows written on them… how awesome is that?? Love this idea!
Credits coming soon!
Beautiful work, thanks for making their day wonderful.
