Families | The Neelys

These four people are SO precious to me… and to countless others, I know!  When Lindsay told me last Christmas that she was pregnant, I was so excited!!  And then she said she was having twins… and I started crying!  Lots of happy-I-can’t-believe-this-is-happening tears!

And when I was able to see the twins when they were just 3 days old and held them in my arms, I cried again… not as much full of that same boisterous excitement, but more of a gentle and reminiscent excitement.  I couldn’t – and still can’t – believe they’re here.  And that there are two of them!  Two perfectly beautiful healthy babies.

As I’ve mentioned before, I’m moving away from family portraits, but there will be several exceptions as the year finishes up.  And as much as my heart is bursting with joy over these two little ones, I just couldn’t keep these images to myself.

Enjoy some of my favorites and have a wonderful Tuesday!

I lived with Lindsay for about 3 years before she and Robert got married… and now the twins are in “my” room.  Y’know, something to bond over :-)

Lindsay’s impeccable decorating skills are all over the nursery.

PRECIOUS.

This little girl will melt your heart!

Lindsay… motherhood looks amazing on you!  You’re just beautiful!

Two of my favorite Lindsay faces… with two of her three most favorite people.

Some little Moroccan moccasins from one of their aunts!

What are these you ask?  Why, nothing other than little fortune cookie booties!!  If you don’t know Robert and Lindsay’s fortune cookie story, you must ask them!

Robert and Lindsay’s “coming home from the hospital” outfits on their own two little ones.

And this?  Besides the fact that I LOVE IT and that they’re holding hands (accidentally or not), Lindsay’s aunt made these quilts for each of them!

My prayer is that they will hold onto each other this tightly for the rest of their lives.

She’s a southern girl, which means her monogram will be on lots of things… including her bloomers!

Love.

Love you four…

And these last two images?  My favorite from the entire morning…
