Our Honeymoon

Honeymoon Album | Artifact Uprising

A couple of weeks ago I posted that I was FINALLY ordering an album of our honeymoon photos.  And let me tell you, it was hard enough culling 1,000+ images from 2 weeks of vacation but to trim that down even more for an album without breaking the bank??  It was no small feat.  But I love love love that I now have a BOOK of our honeymoon photos!  So, anytime I’m missing Paris or want to take a 5-10 minute trip there, I’ll just grab this book and flip through.  Even though it’s sitting right beside me, the thought of doing that brings a smile to my face!

As excited as I was about getting this album in the mail, I let it sit in the box for several hours before I finally opened it.  I’m not sure if it was because I already knew what it looked like (since I’d laid out every page and had looked it over a dozen times before ordering) or if I was nervous about whether I would like the final product or not.

And since the only books I’ve made in the last several years are wedding albums, I was so used to those glossy, sturdy, clean pages.  So when this book arrived and I pulled it out of its clean clear sleeve and began flipping through the pages, I wasn’t sure what to think.  The pages are paper, albeit a really nice paper.  And when photos are printed on that kind of paper, they don’t have the shiny glossy look that we’ve all grown accustomed to with the digital photography age.  But if you go to the Artifact Uprising website and follow them on Instagram or even check out their Facebook page, you’ll quickly see that they’re a bit rustic, they use 100% recycled paper for the inside pages of albums and they LOVE beautiful, genuine, authentic photos.

The more I flip through our book, the more I love it.

So, if you’re looking for a way to document a family vacation, your honeymoon, this past year, or anything else, check them out.  Their website is super clean, easy to use and any book you design will be lovely!

So, her business name is actually Ashley Therese Photography… but they’re friends and I wanted to put their names with the photos.

The PERFECT photo for the back cover.

OOOOOH so pretty!!!!!!! Are the pages archival if they’re on recycled paper? I love that idea! and I love that you had photos taken on your honeymoon!!!
