Hope, Wonder, Love, and Blessings

I’m full… so very full of hope, wonder, love and SO many blessings.  And while my husband spoiled me this Christmas with beautiful and wonderful gifts (um, hello macro lens for my iPHONE!!!), what I loved most was just having the day with him and my mom.  We went to see Les Misérables (loved it!) and then came home to leftovers and another movie on Netflix.  But even in the midst of all of the calm day, we were reminded as Ben prayed before brunch how incredibly blessed we are and how much hope we have because of what God did by sending His Son.  That thought, along with so many others of Jesus, build me up with hope.  God has never broken a promise… and all throughout the Old Testament He points towards Christ coming.  And because of his life on earth, because of his death, because of his sacrifice, because of his resurrection from the dead, we have HOPE.  And I’m SO THANKFUL that even in the darkest times, we have him to rest on.

I’ll have several more posts as we head into the new year, but I wanted to celebrate Christmas for at least one more day.  I wanted to rest and remind myself to KEEP resting in the hope that Jesus brought with him when he was born.
