It’s begun!!  Greg and his amazing team of Wilburn Incorporated started on the kitchen last Friday and I just HAD to swing by that night to see what they’d done… all the counter tops were gone, the drawers and cabinets were gone, and they’d started tearing up the tile!  It was all SO exciting!  Ok, it’s STILL exciting, but you know what I mean.

I had to be over there Monday afternoon for the delivery of our new (read: “current century”) oven and the new microwave and the guys had removed the cabinets we wanted taken out, had the entire floor scraped up and about half the popcorn paint removed from the ceiling.  I took one lousy cell phone picture, but the ones below that we took last night are way better!

I won’t be posting photos from every trip over there, but I couldn’t resist posting these to show you guys that the work really has begun!

It was so fun walking in to see this Friday night…

And then it was even more fun to walk in and see this last night!!  It’s already so much more open!

Don’t worry, the fridge isn’t staying there.  It’s actually coming to our current house (that we’ll rent out) and our current fridge will go next to the wall on the right of this photo.  It’s the same wall in the photo above that has all of the little shelves.

And ta-da!!  We have another doorway!  I’ve never been so excited about a DOOR before!
