Is it Fall Yet??

This (second) cold front that’s come through the south this month is amazing!  The mornings are crisp, the afternoons are warm, but not horrible, and when you stand in the shade, it’s actually cooler because the humidity isn’t its usual 1000%!  So, of course, this has me thinking about football, cozy sweaters and my favorite… Pumpkin Spice Chai Lattes at Starbucks.  But alas, we’re still a full month away from September.  And I’m actually ok with that because we have a LOT to do in the next month.  Like pack and move.  And shoot two amazing weddings (c’mon cooler weather, stick around!!).

Speaking of football… and Clemson… and orange and purple… I love when summer rolls around at our house because the previous owners planted orange and purple flowers outside that come up every year!  And thankfully, I don’t have to do much of anything for them to grow.  After one of our summer rains, I came home from Crossfit and grabbed the macro lens I’d rented to that weekend’s wedding because the raindrops on the flowers were just dying to be photographed!  Now, I’m still working on my macro shots and I probably should have used my tripod for these.  But, the ground was wet.  And I was ready for a shower.  So this was just a quick shoot outside before heading back in.

And if anyone can tell me what kind of flowers these purple upside down ones are, I’ll be forever grateful!

Orange and purple in my yard… it was the perfect house for me (and now us) from day 1!

Happy Wednesday!  Just 31 more days until Clemson kicks off!

You may know but the orange is a Daylily. The purple looks like Hosta blooms but without the foliage it’s hard to tell.
    Enjoy your summer/fall!

I agree with Cindy. And macro shots of nature, especially florals, were my favs before I gave up photography with my deceased brother’s 35mm. PLEASE come by to see us, y’all, when you’re in the Landrum area!!!
