We were so excited for our 20 week ultrasound because not only would we get to see our little one again, but we’d be able to find out if everything was well, if he or she was healthy, AND if we were having a boy or a girl!

Well, the BEST news is that everything is perfect!  Our favorite ultrasound technician was there for our appointment and she said I’m actually measuring 1 day ahead (c’mon, little one!  Already being an over achiever!).  She also gave us some unexpected 3D images!  Ah!  I can’t believe it!

But, we had her seal up the gender in an envelope for us so that we could wait to find out with family and friends what we were having.  So, as everyone gathered last night on our back deck, my friend Kelly brought us a plate with 3 macarons covered up.  We counted to 3, lifted the dish and saw…

WE’RE HAVING A GIRL!!!
(please excuse my blue tongue… I had no idea it was that color!)

And oh my goodness, I’m still in shock!  The best kind of shock, but I’m in shock :-)  I used to have 100% accuracy on guessing what my friends were having, but the last 2 (now 3) guesses, I’ve been wrong!  So, maybe I’ve lost my gift.  Who knows.  But whatever the reason we are THRILLED that we’ll be welcoming a sweet baby girl to our family in February.
