KISS Wedding Books | Our Wedding Album

The biggest mistake I made when it came to our wedding photos was that I decided to edit them myself.  I thought it would be worth it to save a little money, plus, I’m close friends with our wedding photographers so they were ok with it too.  However, it took me soooooo long to get them all edited.  Like almost 6 months I think.  It was the following Thanksgiving when I was finally able to show family all of our photos in PASS. Yikes.

But, because of that, you probably won’t be surprised that it took me 4 years to order our wedding album.  That’s right, 4 years. #photographerbridefail  But it was so important that we order one because I wanted something tangible to pass down to our children, to flip through with them as they grow up, and to have at our 50th wedding anniversary party.

However, even though it took me forever to order it, I will say that I am in L-O-V-E with our album!  KISS Wedding Books has knocked it out of the park with where their company has come in the last several years and I’m thrilled to have been a part of some of that.

This particular leather is one of their Tuscan leathers.  Isn’t it beautiful?  It even changes the tone of the color when you run your hand over it.  So even though it may look like it has a smudge, all you have to do is rub your hand over it and it goes away.

They’ve started offering engraving (and cameo windows on the cover) in the last couple of years too and it looks SO good.

Look how precise and clean it is.

My macro was on point when I took these photos so I wanted to get in really tight and show you just how beautiful the engraving is.

Their thick pages are stacked and bound perfectly.

It was actually really fun designing our album.  Telling the story of a wedding day for my brides and grooms when designing their album is really fun, but designing our own was even sweeter!

And boy do I love a good black and white spread.

The lay flat pages are amazing.  You can see the middle of the spread, but it’s not a gutter, which means the photo isn’t broken up at all.

The best part of designing our own album?  I was able to include the selfie I took of us with my camera that day!

I usually design albums for my brides with at least 15 spreads, which is 30 pages.  I restrained from having unlimited spreads in our album and was able to narrow it down to 20 spreads (40 pages).  I also refrained from posting photos of each of those spreads… but if you come visit, I’d love to show it to you!

  2. […] pass down to your kids and grandkids is absolutely PRICELESS.  We love our album (you can see it HERE) and I really can’t wait to show it to Catherine one day (when she isn’t likely to try […]
