Monday Musings | Brian Regan & Pumpkin Spice Chai

Before we got engaged, Ben introduced me to a comedian named Brian Regan.  And other than watching Seinfeld, I’d never really seen a stand up comedian before.  But let me just tell you, if you’d like some laughs, go ahead and look this guy up!

This weekend we went to see him for the second time together (it was Ben’s fifth time) at an outdoor amphitheater in Atlanta.  It was a little warmer than we expected, but being outside for a show like this somehow made it more fun… especially when the comics used the unique setting in some of their jokes.  Like the one with the panther.  Or the one with the house that was directly behind the amphitheater!  I would tell them to you, but let’s face it… they would completely fall flat and we’d all be embarrassed.  So, you’ll just have to take my word for it :-)

On a completely different note, if you’ve visited Starbucks anytime recently, you may have seen that they now have a “Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte” on their menu.  And if you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’ll know that I’ve been putting pumpkin spice in my chai lattes every fall for YEARS now!  It’s delicious!  So I was excited it was now on the menu so that I wouldn’t have to explain to the barista what I was actually wanting (“No, ma’am, I do not want the Pumpkin Spice Latte, which is why I’m ordering the CHAI.”).

However, what’s on the menu just isn’t as delicious as when I’d ordered it on my own.  So I finally looked up the differences and discovered that for what’s on the menu, they’re using “slightly sweet chai”, which actually makes a fairly big difference!  So, if you’d like the drink that I’ve been raving over for years, simply order a regular chai latte and ask them to add 3-4 pumps of pumpkin spice (depending on the size you order).  You’re welcome!

And since we all know posts are better with a photo, I just want to say how much I love working with my friends!!
Especially when they’re this cute with donuts and bowties :-)
