Neither Ben or I grew up with our grandparents very close by.  Mine lived in Virginia and South Carolina so we actually lived closER to them at different points, but never in the same town.  And Ben’s lived in Africa and Missouri so with his family being missionaries in Paraguay, he saw his grandparents less often than I did.

So of course we’re thrilled that my mom moved down last summer and Catherine gets to see her all the time (as my mom is too!).  And when we found out Ben’s parents were going to be in town for a couple of weeks I was excited that we had room in this house so that they could stay here and get some extra time with Catherine!  She wasn’t so sure about them at first, but after a little warm up time, she LOVED having them here!  Who doesn’t love all of that extra attention and kisses, snuggles with grandmommy and flying time with grandpoppi?

Plus, there are more people there that you can show your food off to ;-)

And for the first time in a while, all of Ben’s siblings and their families were in town too so we did some family photos inside (because it’s been raining for the past month it seems…).  So thankful for off camera lighting, a tripod, and a self-timer!

It seems Catherine didn’t get the memo that it’s 2015 and not 1915… it’s ok, little baby, you can smile in photos!
