Monday Musings | The Hills Are Alive…!

…with the sound of muuu-siiiiic!  My mom took me to see The Sound of Music at the theater yesterday and it was so much fun to see it on the big screen!  I also don’t know the last time I saw it from start to finish so that in and of itself was a treat.  And believe it or not, I refrained from singing the entire movie!  Although the same can’t be said for everyone that was there ;-)  I get it though, it’s hard to NOT sing along!  Unless you’re asleep.  Like the woman that was snoring next to us when there was about an hour left of the movie!

This is completely random, but last week I learned how to properly use a bobby pin.  All these years and I never Googled how to use them but a friend showed me last week and I feel like my hair options have increased!  Did you know that the bumpy side of the bobby pin is what actually goes against your head??  I really had no idea.  She showed several of us that if you put it in smooth side down, then flip it over (kind of like how you put in a veil for a bride), then that’s how it holds your hair!  I haven’t really tried it yet, but it makes complete sense.

And since every post is better with a photo, I snagged this one after I finished taking Catherine’s 2 month photo this weekend (yes, you read that right, she’s already 2 months old!).  Some friends sent us this knitted hat and even though I knew it was still going to be big on her,  I wanted to see what it looked like.  I mean, how cute is she?!? Obviously she’s ready for some Clemson soccer matches ;-)
