This last month has been filled with some ups that I still cling to when I need a good hug in the middle of the day and laughter that still rings clearly in my ears!  It’s also been filled with some downs that while I wish I could forget them, they’ve actually helped shaped me in ways I didn’t realize I needed to be shaped.  But through it all, God has been overwhelmingly gracious and He has filled us with peace that truly surpasses all of our understanding.  He keeps reminding me that His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are not our ways (Isaiah 55:8).  And all I have to do is take a look into my past to see that His ways are always going to be better than my ways and my plans and that it is 1000% worth it to trust Him, hold onto Him, believe Him and to be patient.

One day I’ll share details of what He’s been walking us through, but today I want to celebrate where God has us now.  We’ve had such an amazing month of traveling around and meeting with new brides and just getting to spend some wonderful quality time together.  God knew exactly what He was doing when He was getting Ben and myself ready for each other.  Some days I don’t like that it took so long for us to meet, but we’ve said so many times that had we met any earlier, our relationship may not have worked out.  And to be honest… I wouldn’t trade where we are, what we’ve walked through, what we WILL walk through, or who God has shaped us into for anything in the world.

Marriage and life isn’t always fun and easy.  But when it’s with the person you’re supposed to be with, it’s all completely worth it.  So if you’re wanting to be married… I get it.  I 100% completely get it.  But I can’t stress enough that it’s worth waiting on whatever God has planned for you… regardless of whether it’s marriage, a job, a baby, a dream vacation or whatever!  God’s timing is far better than our own!
