I am so glad you're here! This is my little corner where I get to share some of my most favorite images from engagements, weddings, births, my travels and my own little family from time to time. Hang out, look around, and please reach out to say hello!
I never got to hear many stories from when my dad was in the Marines. And by the time I saw the movie Forest Gump in 1994, where he goes to serve in Vietnam, my dad had been gone for a few weeks or a month and I couldn’t ask him questions about that either.
Granted, I have no idea how much or how little he would have told his then 14 year old daughter, but I would have loved to talk to him about it.
To say I am thankful for his service and the service of so many other family members and friends – even ones who have given their lives – would be an understatement. These men and women have sacrificed and fought bravely for our country and our freedoms.
We don’t have many pictures of my dad in uniform or when he was deployed, but we do have one and it’s one of my favorites. However, since the move (and since I’m pregnant and can’t remember where anything is right now), I can’t seem to find it anywhere.
Thankfully, I found this one that one of my cousins posted online a while back…
He was SO handsome and the clean-cut yet rugged Marine look suited him well!
