Never would Nancy or Wade imagined themselves in this chapel, with their siblings, their kids and grandkids surrounding them as they pledged their love and commitment to one another.
The pastor beautifully acknowledged how each of their complicated journeys brought them to this spot. He talked of their spouses by name, both of whom have passed, and how mourning can turn to joy. Their grief isn’t gone, their histories aren’t erased. But God (two of my most favorite words!). But God can use anything for His purposes and He chose to bring Nancy and Wade together for His glory.
After the ceremony, as each member of their family came into the courtyard, there were smiles and hugs and so much joy!
They all celebrated with a delicious lunch in an intimate backyard setting… including a bounce house for the grandkids! Thank you for allowing me to celebrate with you all. It was a BEAUTIFUL day and will forever be a bright spot in my memory!
