Pinterest Finds | Peasant Bread

I love bread.  My hips don’t, but I really don’t give them too much of a say.  But I’m also not eating bread all the time either… it’s about portion control (just ignore the fact that I typically put nutella or butter and jam on it…).

There are so many bread recipes online and in cookbooks and I typically resort to just buying a loaf of bread if we want or need some, but when I came across this recipe on Pinterest and finally gave it a try, I realized I’d found my go-to recipe.  It was SO easy and didn’t take two days to make.  Yes, it still needs to rise twice, but the first time is for just 2 hours or less and the second rise is for a maximum of 30 minutes.  And then it only bakes for less than 40 minutes!  It also takes very few ingredients (most of which you already have in your kitchen) so, you can have two golden loaves of bread by dinner if you like!  We didn’t have kosher salt, so I just used fine sea salt and it worked fine.

The only thing I was uncertain about was the kind of yeast I had.  So, I wasted a packet thinking I needed to activate it, when in fact, I just had to pour the packet into the bowl of flour.  But, now I know!  This blogger also has videos at the bottom of her post, so be sure to check those out too!

You can find the pin here or go straight to the blog post here.

Enjoy!
