I am so glad you're here! This is my little corner where I get to share some of my most favorite images from engagements, weddings, births, my travels and my own little family from time to time. Hang out, look around, and please reach out to say hello!
When they arrived, they were giddy. And she was nervous. And even though her hands were shaking ever so slightly, she was excited that the day had arrived. There were a few clouds, a few rain drops, and while she was getting dressed, we could hear the rain on the roof for a few minutes.
But then, it stopped. Friends and family from all over were beginning to arrive. And before long at all, it was time.
Bill walked down the aisle first, with his children at his side. If you don’t know Bill, give him a few minutes and you will! As he saw friends and family, he stepped into the pews to not just shake hands, but to give hugs full of meaning.
And then the string quartet began playing the bridal march, and any nerves he had were quickly dissipated as he soon saw his bride coming towards him. Sheila was glowing. And as if her smile weren’t beautiful enough already, it somehow made her shine even more as she walked towards her groom arm in arm with her daughters.
Sheila and Bill… thank you so much for such a beautiful weekend where you reminded me not to just be more intentional about being in the moment, but for showing me what it’s like to love each other and those around you FULLY. I hope your honeymoon to Costa Rica next week is AMAZING and that you enjoy seeing your wedding from my perspective before you go!
A huge thanks to Kristy Koliope for shooting with me!!
The ceremony was on Friday evening up at Fred W. Symmes Chapel, aka Pretty Place.
I think this smile only left her face twice the entire day!
Oh my heavens, the flowers by Barrett’s Flowers were GORGEOUS!
Goodness, Sheila… you are beautiful.
Quite possibly one of my favorite photos of a bride walking down the aisle.
Married!!
They barely made it halfway up the aisle before stopping for hugs and congrats from friends and family!
Mine is on the left, Kristy’s is on the right.
And oh how I love this set…
Sheila’s youngest niece was enthralled by all that was going on!
And oh my heavens… this is my favorite family/wedding party photo ever! All of you could be models!
Sunday, we drove back up the mountain a bit to the Table Rock Lodge for their reception.
Sheila is crazy talented… she designed the cake, made the hearts on top and then a friend baked and decorated the cake! I love it!!
And it was so. amazingly. yummy.
And these mugs? Sheila made all of these too. No big deal.
The bride and groom arrived to their party all movie-star-like.
Where there were clouds and a few rain drops on Friday, the weather was PERFECTION on Sunday!
I love that everyone was able to sit and enjoy outside…
…while the band, Radio Society, played inside and people danced on and off.
Remember how I was saying Sheila is talented? She made these magnets out of the extra clay from the mugs. Again… no big deal.
One of Sheila’s brothers arrived on his motorcycle, so we used it as a prop!
Just gorgeous…
Kristy got this one and I LOVE it!
Then it was time for one last dance.
And then a change of shoes.
And we all made our way down to the water…
For their departure in a canoe!
I seriously don’t know when these two aren’t having fun.
The light was so beautiful, I couldn’t help but post so many of these!
