Snow Day!

The last time we were snowed in was in January 2011.  The reason I remember this is because it doesn’t snow enough for that to happen in South Carolina AND Ben and I were dating so he was stuck in his house 20 minutes away and I was stuck in my house.  I think I stepped outside for like 5 minutes to get some pictures, but other than that, I didn’t do much.  This time however, has been WAY more fun!  We ventured out, ran into some friends, met some new neighbors, set a bowl outside to capture some snow for snow cream and built a snowman!  We even took a time lapse of it that you can see at the bottom of the post.

We’re still snowed in today, but the good news is that (I think) it has finally stopped snowing and the temperatures will get above freezing later today and tomorrow.  The snow is beautiful, but the best thing about the south is that the temperatures usually melt everything within a few days.

Enjoy some of our adventures around the neighborhood yesterday!

So thankful for friends that aren’t afraid of my camera so we can get a picture of the two of us together!

Oh Marianne… we weren’t sure what was funnier, that she was hiding a snowman under her hat, or that she was collecting enough snow to become a snowman herself!
Love you, friend!!

This street is usually super busy… and Ben was standing at the stop light signaling that he was turning left.  He definitely keeps me laughing!

Again… SO THANKFUL for these boots!!

You could say it was a little cold…

I’ve never really taken pictures of our neighborhood before so I’m glad we got out and about yesterday with the camera!

It’s just… SO pretty.

This is looking down from the top of our street.  I love how people were just hanging out everywhere yesterday!

Our cute little house!  I really can’t believe I’ve been here for four and a half years…

So, the snow was a tad powdery, but we made the best snowman we could!  The time lapse video of it is below.  Enjoy!
