It’s a small thing, really.  And most of you won’t understand why it’s such a big deal to me.  But once we figured out that my love language was “acts of service”, it’s these small things that, in my eyes, are really huge things.  So, when I came home last night after shooting a few sessions yesterday morning, editing a wedding yesterday afternoon, and then shooting a senior session in Clemson in the evening, I was wiped out.  And when I saw the dishes dripping dry in the left side of the sink, I threw my arms around Ben almost cried tears of joy!

This house has never had a dishwasher and unless some major renovations take place, there really isn’t room for one.  And since we cook a fair amount, dishes are always piled up next to/in/around the sink.  Some days I get to them, some days I don’t.

But when days like yesterday are so full that I’m still tired the next morning, it’s the small things like clean dishes that can make such a big impact on me.  I really have an amazing husband.  And I’m so thankful that he takes the time to love me SO well.
