The Betlows on the Beach

Y’all know by now that my Clemson girls really are the best in the world.  And there’s nothing I love more than to spend time with them, relaxing, laughing and eating.  Because somehow or another, we always seem to drift towards food!  Although, I dare you to spend a day in downtown Charleston and NOT eat several samples of pralines   Not only do they smell amazing, but they taste even better!  I think my second favorite thing about these girls is that they trust me to capture their families when we can.  Sadly, we don’t all live in the same neighborhood (although, I think that might be one of the most amazing neighborhoods to live in!), so we try and get pictures when we’re together!  And since we moved our annual trip to the beach… it just made pictures that much more enticing :-)

But, believe it or not, shooting on the beach is a lot different than shooting in the upstate.  There’s SO. MUCH. SUN… even before sunset.  But, the sand also acts as a natural reflector so, with the sun to their backs, the white sand is reflecting the light back into their faces and creating such beautiful images!  I just love it.

Enjoy some of my favorites from Kristen and Jason’s mini session on the beach!

Many thanks to my “assistant”, Josh, for bringing these smiles out of Corban (and Kristen and Jason)!

I think this one’s my favorite…

Oh my heavens… Corban, I love your smile!

Kristen, it’s been so much fun watching you become a mom.  You’re so good at it and Corban is so lucky to have you!!
