This Man

I posted a screen shot of the back of my camera with this photo yesterday with the following caption:

I haven’t loved pregnancy as much as I thought I would. But it has changed me… My eyes were opened to women who struggle with infertility last year. I’ve fallen more in love with my husband as he’s taken care of me and #babycatherinemarie. My heart has grown for the Lord as He’s knit together this little one in my womb.
So while I haven’t loved this process, I have NOT taken it for granted. God has used these last 36 weeks (tomorrow!) to mold me, shape me, grow me and encourage me in ways I didn’t even know I needed it.
And this weekend with my #clemsongang has been no different. They have stood by me for the last 17 years and I can’t imagine life without these girls, their love for the Lord, their wisdom and experience as moms!! This weekend has been amazing but it’s time to head home and really get ready for this baby!
(PS – how amazing is Ben and his beach photography skills?? I love this one…)

Ben has been so incredibly gracious to take these baby bump photos each week and it’s so much fun to go back and see how much this baby has grown.  I still can’t believe that she will be here so soon, but what I’ve been reminded of these last few days is how much I love this man.

God was SO good to bring us together and I can’t imagine walking through life with ANYone else.  Ben is my rock through so many pieces of life, but that’s only because he has his foundation set firmly on Christ.  If he didn’t have that and I tried to lean on him, we would both crumble from the weight of it all.

I say it all the time, but girls… if you are waiting on the right man to come your way, keep waiting.  I promise you that it is WORTH IT to be single for a long time than to settle for the wrong person.  I fully believe that if you have the desire to be married, then waiting on God’s timing to bring your husband to you is worth the wait.  I promise!!  It’s not easy, it’s very lonely, and extremely frustrating.  But each of our stories is so unique to us and God will use you in ways you never imagined if only you’ll wait on Him and willingly walk through the story He’s writing for you.

I could talk about this forever, but no one wants to read a crazy long blog post!  Mine and Ben’s marriage isn’t perfect.  And it hasn’t always been easy. But because we waited for God and what His timing was, we were both ready for the journey He had laid out for us.  So, be encouraged, friends!

How handsome is he???  I’m thankful he humors me and lets me take photos of him :-)
