Several weeks ago, I received an inquiry from Annie’s best friend asking if I would be available to photograph her best friend’s proposal. I was thrilled that I was available! So of course, she looped in Brennan and he filled me in with all of the plans.
Brennan’s sister Jenna would be at their family home getting flowers and everything ready. She would meet me there, show me the plan and some potential photo spots.
What was an incredibly beautiful surprise (for me!) was how talented Jenna is with flowers! I mean, look at these arrangements!
As I was snagging a few detail photos and Jenna was adding final touches, we heard Brennan’s car on the gravel driveway and I’m pretty sure I’ve never ducked and run so quickly in my life! Jenna ran inside and I tucked behind a giant bush praying that Annie hadn’t actually seen me and that my heart would slow down soon!
She said yes!!
Thankfully Annie was so unaware of Brennan’s plans for the afternoon that she didn’t have any idea how close she’d been to seeing Jenna and myself! And while she had tears of joy in her eyes when Brennan went down on one knee, she had nothing but huge smiles and laughter the rest of the afternoon!
Also, let’s give a huge shoutout to Jenna for knowing her soon-to-be sister-in-law well enough to choose colors that ended up coordinating perfectly with Annie’s gorgeous dress!
Congrats again, you guys! I’m SO thrilled for the adventures ahead of you!
