Several years ago, Betsy and Joe happened to meet while on a business trip in Minnesota (they’re both from the south!) and bonded over their love of Clemson.  Last summer, after returning home from separate business trips, Joe asked Betsy to be his wife.  Betsy said he ended up having to ask 3 times because she thought he was joking!

Betsy and Joe’s intimate wedding took place in Spartanburg on a gorgeous day in May.  They gathered with 24 family members and close friends to celebrate becoming husband and wife and I was so thankful to be a small part in their day.

The most unexpected part – for both of them – was when they both teared up as Betsy walked down the aisle and they said their vows.  They were so excited to be married and I loved watching them spend time with some of their favorite people.

You two, thank you for letting me document your first day as husband and wife!  It was a joy and I had a smile on my face the rest of the day!

Hannah was Betsy’s matron of honor and her husband led everyone, by bagpipes, to the reception at the Piedmont Club!
