I am so glad you're here! This is my little corner where I get to share some of my most favorite images from engagements, weddings, births, my travels and my own little family from time to time. Hang out, look around, and please reach out to say hello!
You can have everything planned to a T, everyone on call and every piece of the puzzle in place yet when your plans involve waiting on a baby, most if not all of those plans can be tossed out the window in a matter of minutes!
Tymeisha texted me the morning of August 6 to say her water had broken around 4am but she had yet to have a single contraction. This was their second baby and her plan was to have the baby at GHS Midwifery Care & Birth Center so she wanted to stay home and labor as long as she could. However, labor didn’t seem to be starting!
She and Corey went to the birthing center at 4pm for them to check how things were going. If nothing had progressed, the plan was for them to go to the hospital for Tymeisha to be induced in hopes that contractions would bring their sweet baby boy to meet all of us before 4am the next morning.
At 4pm I waited by my phone to hear what the midwife said but I wasn’t prepared for what came through. Contractions had finally begun when they got in the car to go to her appointment, but when they checked Tymeisha, she was already at 9cm! So I called my mom to let her know it was game time since she was going to watch Catherine for me, but about 5 minutes later, Corey texted me that the baby was here! He himself almost missed the birth because Corey Jr. (CJ) came so fast so the only way I could have made it there in time was if I could have transported over there. Even then, I might have missed it!
CJ came exactly when he was supposed to and as fast as any baby I’ve ever heard of! I got to the birthing center about an hour after he was born and walked into a beautiful room where mom, dad, big sister and grandparents were admiring their newest family member.
Thank you guys so much for allowing me to be a part of this journey with you! He is beautiful!
That sweet face!
LOVE.
I still can’t get over how much hair he had!
The proud grandparents were so excited to get their arms around him too!
She wasn’t quite sure what to think of this little baby, but she did give him a few sweet kisses :-)
