Dance Like No One is Watching

Do you remember when you were little and you didn’t have that fear yet of what others thought?  Ok, I don’t really remember that either, but I LOVE watching kids who haven’t figured out that other people might be watching them.  They seem to be fearless!

I love to dance.  LOVE it.  I don’t have the best moves and as much as I feel like I could be on So You Think You Can Dance, it’s only a pipe dream.  Plus, I think I’m too old at this point.  But that’s neither here nor there… in my head, I’m still 25.

Several years ago, I had a friend tell me that they dance in their car to whatever they’re listening to and don’t really care who sees them.  And you know what?  When I see other people doing this, dancing like no one is watching, it puts a smile on my face!  Not because I think they look ridiculous (because I definitely do when I’m the one dancing in my car), but because they feel the freedom to let go!  They’re dancing, they’re having fun, they’re enjoying the beat of the music… without any regard to who sees them.

And I’m hoping to add a little more of this to my drives, whether I’m going down the street or across several states.  So, if you see a little grey MINI with black racing stripes and brown hair flying all over the place inside, you’ll know that it’s me.  And hopefully it will put a smile on your face :-)

Happy Friday!
