Lanzi + Roger | A Furman University Surprise Proposal

I was explaining to some friends after Roger emailed me that what I get to do is NOT lost on me.  Brides and Grooms, moms and dads to-be and occasionally families trust me with capturing their memories and that’s a really big deal to me!  Many of these events I get to capture only happen once.  ONCE.  So the fact that people will trust me with capturing their memories sometimes brings me to tears.  And I’m so thankful!

Roger emailed me recently saying that he was going to propose to his girlfriend and I was so sad because I wasn’t available on the day he was going to pop the question!  I love photographing proposals (despite the mess of nerves I am before he gets down on one knee!) and it had been a while since I’d been able to be a part of one.  So I emailed him back explaining how excited I was for them and how sad I was that I couldn’t be there, but that if there was ANY chance he could change the date, then I could do it.  Otherwise, I was happy to help him find someone!

And do you know what…??  ROGER CHANGED THE DATE.  SO THAT I COULD BE THERE.  I’m still in a bit of shock but am SO thankful it worked out because I loved every second!

I’m always so terrified that the soon-to-be-bride is going to spot me…

Even though she’s 1000% focused on what her soon-to-be-groom is saying and doing!

Roger and Lanzi met in Florida but since she moved back to Greenville, they only get to see each other every so often now.
So, one of Roger’s requests was that we spend some time getting more photos and I was happy to oblige!

And this ring… just BEAUTIFUL!

The beautiful ring completely compliments Lanzi’s gorgeous smile!  Well done, Roger.  Well done.

Goodness, this one is my favorite!

These next 3 are so similar, but they make me smile SO much!

Congratulations again, you guys!  Thank you for allowing me to document such an incredible day for you!
