The New Mrs. | Spartanburg Church of the Advent Bridal Portraits | Haley

The first time we attempted her bridal portraits, they were calling for snow in South Carolina.  We were both game for keeping everything scheduled in hopes that we might potentially have snow falling during her session!  But, as she was driving down from Raleigh and I was keeping an eye on the weather maps, we both decided it would be wise to reschedule.  I’m always skeptical of snow in South Carolina, but this time they were right… it was a fairly bad storm.  So much so that we had some trees fall and even lost power for a couple of days, which hasn’t happened in ages.

But instead of a blistery, overcast and potentially dangerous session, we ended up with a gorgeous day and some beautiful light for this sweet bride’s session!  Haley’s hair and makeup by Katie of Cotton Rouge was f l a w l e s s.  Her dress was gorgeous.  And Haley was overall stunning!

Enjoy some of my favorites from her bridals and hold on tight because hers and Will’s wedding photos are coming later this week!  I already have too many favorites so be prepared to set aside some time for their blog post.  It will be a good one!

The Piedmont Club in Spartanburg has been around for ages, but before that, this was a home that was built in 1893!  Give me an old southern home any day of the week.  But wrap it in Christmas decorations and I’m immediately sold!

Haley had so many favorites, but this one below is what she chose as her portrait!
That light, her veil, her beautiful smile… just perfection.

One of the fun things about winter weddings are the faux fur wraps!

Her laugh is contagious and this photo constantly brings a smile to my face!

I originally wasn’t going to take my Pentax with me, but I decided that I would regret leaving it and some rolls of film at home.  I’m SO glad I decided to take it.  It was actually a bit therapeutic and I just adore some of these images we captured.

These next 4 are some of my favorites.
