I am so glad you're here! This is my little corner where I get to share some of my most favorite images from engagements, weddings, births, my travels and my own little family from time to time. Hang out, look around, and please reach out to say hello!
It didn’t hit me until she was here and had integrated herself into our hearts in a way that even if we tried (although we never will), we’d never be able to get her out. Catherine’s arrival on the scene has changed us in so many ways but I think the deepest way is that she’s allowed me to see God in an entirely different light.
As I read her the story of Adam and Eve and the Fall out of her Jesus Storybook Bible this morning I got a little misty eyed as I read her this…
You see, no matter what, in spite of everything,
God would love his children – with a Never Stopping,
Never Giving Up, Unbreaking, Always and Forever Love.
And after decades of being one of His children, I finally understand what that means. It’s no where on the same level, but being able to get a glimpse of the Lord’s perspective has been eye opening for my faith. She’s only 7 months old so of course we haven’t started to discipline her yet (although she’s hearing “No” a lot more lately!), but there are days that my frustrations with her get the better of me and she goes down for a nap a little earlier or we go for a walk just so I can get refocused :-) And this is only a glimpse into what she’ll be like as she grows up!
But even with all of that, I love her more than I EVER thought possible. And still, God loves her more than that. And He loves Ben and me more than we could ever love each other. And He loves you far more than you can imagine. No matter where we are in life, what we’ve done or haven’t done, where we’ll go or what kind of person we will become, He loves us… with a Never Stopping, Never Giving Up, Unbreaking, Always and Forever Love. No one on earth is capable of that kind of love.
And I hope that she discovers His love earlier rather than later.
