She had decided ahead of time that it didn’t matter if it rained or if the sun was shining. And it didn’t matter if there were some things that went awry because something always happens on a wedding day. Her biggest concern for the weekend was that she get time with her friends and family that were coming in from all over – even Hawaii! – and that she was going to be Steve’s wife by Sunday afternoon. Nothing else mattered!
He was a little more reserved as the day unfolded, but that’s who Steve is. He’s definitely the strong and (sometimes) silent type, but each time he looked at his bride, there was a gleam in his eye that nothing was going to dampen.
Thankfully, prayers were answered and the sun was out on their big day! It was a gorgeous Sunday in downtown Greenville and Ben and I were so excited to celebrate with these guys. They’ve both been waiting for God’s plan to unfold for a long time so as she tapped him on the shoulder at their first look and as she and her dad rounded the corner to walk down the aisle, the tears of joy couldn’t be held back… from me either!
I’m so excited to share Anne & Steve’s wedding. It was amazingly sweet and wonderfully beautiful. No attention to detail was forgotten and the celebration was enjoyed by everyone! Congratulations again, you guys! I hope you’re enjoying your unplugged week in the mountains!!
Anne’s sister designed her invitation suite… it’s it beautiful??
Nora of The Cookie Kiln made the favors for the wedding, but added a couple extras just for Anne and Steve!
I love Dahlia’s… especially when they create beautiful bouquets like this!
Anne & Steve helped me schedule their day so that we had an hour for their first look and portraits!!
This gave us plenty of time to wander through downtown and they now have so many photos of the two of them!
Anne, you were right… this dress was MADE for you! You’re such a beautiful bride!
Ben was able to capture this…
While I captured this.
Love the fall colors!!
And before we all knew it, it was time for the ceremony…
I’ve used this courtyard so many times for photos (including mine and Ben’s own wedding photos!), but it never crossed my mind to have a wedding ceremony here! It was beautiful, it was shaded, it was perfect.
MARRIED!
This is the “I can’t believe we’re really married!” photo :-)
Anne used to be an event planner so there was no detail left undone! Larkin’s did an incredible job of pulling everything together so beautifully!
More of The Cookie Kiln’s delicious cookies!
In Clemson, we have Tiger Rag. At Virginia Tech, they do the Hokey Pokey!
Before the end of the night, we slipped outside to give these two a few more quiet moments of their wedding day among the lights of downtown.
