I am so glad you're here! This is my little corner where I get to share some of my most favorite images from engagements, weddings, births, my travels and my own little family from time to time. Hang out, look around, and please reach out to say hello!
It was calling for rain all day Saturday, but Friday? Friday was supposed to be beautifully perfect. And it was.
Julia arrived with her girls and was just so excited about the day. If she stopped smiling at all, it was only ever for a moment. And when Stephen arrived… well, the same seemed true for him.
As they each got ready and began to dress, the time came nearer to when they would see each other… her husband, his wife… and they could begin their forever together. As she tapped him on the shoulder and he slowly turned to see her, time seemed to stand still as he slowly, but all at once took her in. Both were overwhelmed with tears for what may be one of the sweetest First Looks I’ve ever had the honor of capturing.
Julia and Stephen, thank you for such a perfect day. I hope you are getting some sun and relaxing the days away on your cruise in the Caribbean!
A huge shout out and thanks to Amy for second shooting with me on Friday!
The wedding took place at Duncan Estate in Spartanburg. I fell in love the moment we drove up the driveway…
Every part of the house seems as if it was preserved from a time gone by.
While I was with the girls, Amy went to hang out with the guys.
You don’t usually hear about the groom having a glow about him, but in every good way possible, Stephen was glowing!
Amy got this one…
…while I was able to snag this one.
Julia… SUCH a beautiful bride!
Everything about this reminds me of Europe…
There are SO many spots in and around this house, so before their First Look, we took their First Photo.
So beautiful…
Billy of Piedmont Flower Gallery did SUCH an amazing job with the flowers!
This back porch? Swoon worthy.
Julia’s dad lost his battle with cancer early this year and when it was time to give her away, I expected her nephew, who walked her down the aisle, to speak up.
Instead, her mom stood up and in response to “Who gives this woman to this man?” Her mom said, “Her father and I do.”
It was one of the sweetest moments I’ve ever seen at a wedding.
I got a little giddy when I saw they were having a salt covenant like we did!
MARRIED!!
Lisa and Crystal of Cupcake Creations definitely created a delicious masterpiece!
We were created to be in relationship with others. So, when Jack Martin introduced the wedding party and before he prayed over the meal,
he asked everyone to hold hands, which only gives a small glimpse of what all of us being connected really looks like.
The Mexican cuisine from Holmes Catering was as good as it looks!
At the end of the night, Julia and Stephen went back to the top balcony for the bouquet and garter toss. Such a perfect spot!
It was also the perfect spot to grab this…
There were so many favorite images from the day, but the ones at the end of the evening may be my favorites.
