Before making their way to South Carolina for a fall weekend, Wyatt reached out about capturing the moment he went down on one knee to ask Izzy to marry him. And I’m so thankful to have been available, for the gorgeous weather and the beautiful fall colors!
As with any good plan, pivots are likely to be necessary… the initial plan was to meet at Pretty Place on a Monday morning right when it opened to the public. But the evening before, the website showed it had been reserved so it was no longer available!
But with Bald Rock in the same area and with its own incredible view, we “met” there instead. By the time, Wyatt and Izzy arrived, there was no one else in sight. It was perfect! Wyatt had warned me that she actually knew he had the ring, but based on her reaction, she was still surprised and beside herself with excitement!
The other bonus was the new trail leading to and from Bald Rock’s viewpoint. It was still very new when we were there, but the trail is easy and with the fall colors, it just added more options for beautiful scenery.
On the way back down the mountain, we stopped for a few minutes at Wildcat Branch Falls.
It was the perfect backdrop to wrap up their session with.
