Caroline + Stephen | A Carolina Point YoungLife Camp Wedding

Caroline’s dad has been the property manager for Carolina Point YoungLife Camp for the last several years.  It’s an amazingly beautiful place with no cell service and nooks and crannies that make you want to stay for weeks and weeks!  So when Stephen proposed to Caroline on a rooftop in NYC, they knew without a doubt Carolina Point was where they would be married.

Each piece of their day was so intentional… there were traces of their families, who they are as a couple and what their faith in Jesus means to them.  From Caroline’s dress being worn by her grandmother and her mom and now her, to long-time friends of Stephen praying over him, to Caroline’s NYC friends (who are INCREDIBLE DANCERS!) revealing one of the best reception surprises I’ve ever witnessed, it was a day I’ll never forget!

You may want to grab some tissues before you scroll any farther because it’s a beautifully emotional and worshipful post today!  Caroline and Stephen, thank you for trusting me with capturing your first day as husband and wife.  I hope you are having the time of your lives in Greece and that you enjoy reliving your wedding day through these photos!

Caroline’s dress was first worn by her grandmother 65 years ago!  Her mother then wore it for her wedding in the early 80s and now Caroline has worn it too (with a few alterations).  She did have the sleeves removed, but used the lace as part of the ribbon on her bouquet!

Daddy/Daughter First Looks get me every.single.time.

When I first met these two earlier this year, they told me about this spot at camp.  They wanted to use it, but weren’t initially going to do a First Look and kept running through ideas for when and how to get up there.  And then they realized it would be the perfect, secluded spot FOR a First Look!  We were worried about rain, but the Lord held that off for us…

The most miraculous part of the day was when God literally opened the clouds and the sun shone down on Caroline, Stephen and their parents as they worshipped through song.  There was not a dry eye when the last note was sung…!

While God parted the clouds for their First Look and worship, He let His presence be KNOWN during the ceremony with rain, wind and lightening over camp.  We were all thankful to be under the cover of a roof but still have an incredible view of the storm!

It took me a few moments to realize why Caroline and her dad had stopped dancing…

…there was a video playing of them dancing to the same song when she was a little girl.  So we all cried!

I mentioned Caroline had some really talented friends that danced…

Caroline’s dad’s parents just celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary and they could NOT have been any cuter!

I can’t get over the way he looks at her after all these years.

Caroline and Stephen’s incredibly talented friends surprised HER with this dance during the reception.

And she had no idea that it was happening or that Stephen had a part in it!

After a day full of surprises, the new Mr & Mrs surprised their guests with fireworks as they exited to “New York! New York!”

Many thanks to the incredibly talented family and vendors for making Caroline + Stephen’s day as wonderful as it was!
