Fabulous Friday | Trying Something Different

As I was getting ready to drive to Charleston for an engagement session, the weather was not looking too pretty.  So I popped into the Showiteer group on Facebook (aka one of the most amazing group of photographers on the planet) and asked how to shoot a session in the rain.  And they started responding and helping me out without blinking an eye.  I was so thankful!!  And I was actually getting a little excited to try something I hadn’t before.

But, the closer it got to our session, the more the weather cleared up in Charleston!  It was still overcast, but the weather was cooler and barely muggy, which is unheard of in Charleston in August!  The session was great and I can. not. wait. to share the photos with you next week.  And as we were wrapping up and cheering that the rain held off, I realized I was a little bummed that I didn’t get any rain shots.

But wait!  There’s more!  We had decided before leaving for the session that we wanted pizza for dinner (so glad I hang out with people that like food as much as I do!) and as we were headed to pick it up, it started raining.  As Ben ran in to get the pizza, I asked Anna how she felt about getting out in the rain for a few photos.  Again, I have amazing clients and they were both all for it!

So, last night, I got to try something different.  And I’m so thankful for clients and friends that trust me and are willing to try something a little out of the norm!
