Y’all may or may not know this, but I do actually offer newborn photos for my birth mothers and families.  It’s a one hour session in your home around 5-10 days after the baby is born.  And the main focus is of mom and dad (and possibly older siblings) loving on the new baby!  Rarely do babies sleep for me when I have my camera out, so I don’t focus on the posed images of baby sleeping… unless we happen to get lucky and he or she falls asleep in their swaddle and we’re able to lay them down for a few photos :-)

Two weeks ago I was able to be at the hospital to photograph Rudy’s birth and last week I went to see how they were all doing and to get some photos of Rudy at home with his older brother and parents.  He wasn’t always content, but that’s the beauty of these photos… we’re documenting real life and all that comes with it.  Cries and all!
