Kristin told me early on, while they were still engaged even, that both of them knew they wanted birth photos when the time came.  So when she contacted me to tell me they were expecting, in the same breath she said she wanted to book birth photos too!  It seems like we’ve been waiting forever, but I think it’s only because she first mentioned it before their wedding :-) (And if you’d like to see those again, their wedding blog post is HERE!)

I headed up to the hospital early afternoon on October 4 and waited for updates from Kristin and Cameron in the waiting room while getting some other work done.  There is typically so much “hurry up and wait” when it comes to birth, but I wanted to be close by just in case!  Around 4pm I went to their room to wait with them and I love that time of hanging out, chatting about the baby, easing her fears, and catching up on life.

There is so much and so little that happens that I try and get photos of the time as I can so when any of us look back,
we can see that while it FELT like forever, time actually went by pretty quickly…

Cameron, I’ve never had any doubt that you loved Kristin, but seeing you by her side as she brought your baby into the
world was such a joy to watch!  You were so encouraging, supportive and just THERE for her every step of the way.
Thank you for loving her (and now your family!) so well!

It was about time to start pushing so Cameron was sending an update before he put his phone aside…

Kristin, you are so strong, brave, courageous and you endured labor and delivery like a rock star!
It may not have felt like it, but you were amazing and I loved playing a small piece in the day you became a mama!

It’s a….

…GIRL!!!!!

I know this photo of them is out of focus, but it seems fitting that this whole moment of their
DAUGHTER coming into the world and them finally finding out it was a girl was a blur too!

We were all hoping for red hair like Kristin’s, but for now, it’s dark like her daddy’s hair.

You guys… that photo on the right and her sweet face!

I also can’t get over this one of their sweet family of 3 and the way they’re looking at each other.

The grandparents had been beside themselves while waiting and it was finally time for them to come
and meet their grand baby and find out if it was a boy or a girl.  Their reactions are priceless!

Kristin and Cameron introduced the baby saying, “This is Hagan Louise, it’s a girl!”
And I cried all over again :-)

They’ve had so many boys on Cameron’s side of the family that his mom just could NOT get over it!  It was the sweetest!
