Nate is a baseball coach and several years ago when Hannah was working a fundraiser at a baseball park, he saw her and thought she was “too stunning not to ask for her number.”  And they’ve basically been together ever since!

Since baseball is such a huge part of their story, they wanted to meet up at Duncan Park Stadium for their photos and the minute we walked in, it kind of felt like I’d walked onto the set of A League Of Their Own!  The stadium dates back to the 1920s and is the oldest baseball stadium in South Carolina that’s still in use.  And it has so much charm that I could have stayed there for ages :-)

Somehow, I’d miscalculated sunrise the day we met for their photos so we were about 30 minutes ahead of the sun.  Thankfully, the gracious athletic director from the high school who let us in, offered to turn on the stadium lights for us and it was MAGIC!  We wouldn’t have needed those lights if I’d gotten the sunrise time correct and we wouldn’t have gotten these incredible photos for Hannah and Nate because the stadium lights MAKE these images!!

Thank you guys for getting up so early and trusting me to capture these for you!  I’m so excited for your wedding next summer… it’s going to be so much fun and SO beautiful!

These seats are originals from Shibe Park in Philadelphia (which opened in 1909!!).

I spent several lunches in Hatcher Gardens when I worked in Spartanburg way back when, so when Hannah suggested we do the second half of their session there, I knew it would be beautiful.  What we didn’t know was that it would be overcast that morning… but it made her gorgeous pink dress POP amongst the trees!
