Claudia + Andy | The Oaks Wedding Venue

It was finally beginning to feel a touch like fall.  The breeze in the air kept things cooled off and the sky alternated between that beautiful fall light and a slightly overcast day.  It honestly could not have been a more beautiful afternoon for Claudia and Andy to say I do!

They were both excited and a tad nervous as the day unfolded, but seeing them with their family and friends (who had come from around the globe!) and how much they were loved would have lifted anyone’s heart.  Claudia had warned me that she would probably cry at a moment’s notice, but each time her eyes welled up with tears, you could see how much she was overflowing with love.

Claudia and Andy, both of you have gained such amazing families and I’m so grateful you asked me to be a part of this day with all of you!!  Every piece about it was beautiful and wonderful and I’m beside myself with excitement to share some of my favorite images from your day.  I hope you’re having an incredible time in Colorado and that you’re able to get a peek at your images while you’re still out there!

The bands on the left are Claudia and Andy’s and the bands on the right belonged to her late grandparents.

How beautiful are her shoes… AND that antique ring box that her grandparents’ wedding bands rest in??

It seems Andy has a way with words… Claudia even said something about it to his mom while she was reading his letter.

These next 3 portraits are some of my most favorite I think I’ve ever taken…
Claudia… just wow.

You guys.  This adorable dog’s name is Samson and he was the “ring bearer”.  He’s actually the reason Claudia and Andy met and started getting to know each other.  But you can read more about him on their engagement post.

I’ve been to The Oaks before, but the last time I was there, it was mid-January and FREEZING.
I don’t know that I’ll ever get over how beautiful this property is!

Do you see the iPad on the second row?  Claudia’s cousin was gracious enough to hold it for the entire ceremony so that her grandparents in Netherlands and her brother (also in Europe right now) could virtually be there with all of them.  Claudia had even sent them a care package with plastic champagne flutes and confetti so they could celebrate too!

It’s customary in the Netherlands (where Claudia’s mom is from) to sign the marriage license at the end of the ceremony in front of all the guests.  And as simple as it seems, it may have been one of my favorite parts of the day!

The sun peeked out again JUST as we were wrapping up to head inside for their reception!!

They ended the evening with a night cap and a sparkler departure!

Many thanks to the incredibly talented family and vendors for making Claudia + Andy’s day so wonderful!
