Holly + Justin | Clemson Botanical Gardens + Rowing Docks Engagement

Holly and Justin met for the first time ages ago.  She was 10 and her parents were coaching her older brothers’ basketball team.  One night, Justin came with another guy on the team and ended up joining for the rest of the season.  Holly remembers thinking he was cute (but she admits that, at the time, she thought most of her older brothers’ friends were cute!) but she also really appreciated how kind he was to her even though she was just the “kid sister” at games and practices.

Fast forward almost a decade and these two became inseparable.  Holly’s parents saw Justin at a graduation and not only asked him to sit with their family, but invited him to the party afterwards!  Needless to say, her family is quite a fan of this guy and they are thrilled that he’s going to be a part of their family!

Holly’s main request for their engagement session was color.  She was ok with green, which is in abundance in the summer, but really wanted something to offset it.  So my mission was to find flowers anywhere I could!

Holly and Justin, thank you for trusting me.  Not just for your photos and to capture your wedding day next spring, but for risking a million mosquito bites for some of the most lovely photos in such a quaint garden!  I hope you love some of my favorites from your session… I’ll be counting down the days with you guys until April next year when you get to become husband and wife!

I could have photographed them in this spot forever!

I think I told them at least a dozen times how adorable they are!

Side note about these cupcakes:
Clemson Confectioneries makes the most amazing cupcakes.  And when we showed up at their door just after 7pm, I realized that they were already closed and was heartbroken!  But they were so kind and gracious… they let us in and sold us 3 cupcakes even though they technically weren’t open!  So not only are they serving delicious treats (you MUST try the edible cookie dough), but they are kind and so very helpful. (Not pictured, the amazing Nutella cupcake I purchased and ate on my way home.)
And no, this is not an ad, I just really love their cupcakes and Brandi (the owner) is just wonderful!

I’m in love with these photos of Holly and Justin by the water.

This one is my favorite.
Even though it was hot outside, I asked Holly to relax into the arms of her soon-to-be husband and I could visibly see her melt into him.  These two are precious and they are so excited to get married!
