Monday Musings | Traveling Favorites

Well, as you read this, I will be on the road again!  This week is the Pursuit 31 Conference at Winshape Retreat Center down in Rome, GA and I am so excited about all God will be doing in the next several days!  But I’m also looking forward to being back at Winshape, seeing some of my favorite photographer friends, and getting to relax and soak in all that God has for me in the coming days.

But, as I was backing up my iPhone 4S before loading everything onto my iPhone 6 (yay!), I found this photo from my trip home from Chicago last weekend.  And it really is a few of my favorite things all in one place!

FavoriteThings-101

Airport: ATL – I worked for Delta as a co-op in college so I’ve spent more time at this airport than any other one in the world.  Most people don’t like it, but I know it like the back of my hand and I just love it.
Book: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban – I’m kind of embarrassed to say how many times I’ve read/listened to this book, but at the same time, I’m totally ok with it (although this one has the British cover and I bought it one one of my trips overseas)!  I’m so thankful my mom introduced me to Harry not long after this particular book came out because I love them.  I actually just finished this one and have borrowed the CDs to listen to the Goblet of Fire on my drive to and from Winshape.  If Ben can’t be in the car to read with me, then Jim Dale is a close second choice!
Drink: Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte (from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf) – It’s my favorite drink of the fall.  And we don’t have this coffee shop in SC so when we discovered it in Santa Barbara earlier this year, we fell in love with it!  And then on our way home, we realized it was in the ATL airport!  So, I may have stopped there on my way TO Chicago and then on my way HOME from Chicago last weekend.  Totally worth it.
Bagel: Pumpkin bagel with honey & almond schmear from Einstein Bros. – again, it’s another ATL favorite.  I discovered them when I was living down there for my co-op.  We don’t eat bagels very often at all, but this particular day I’d been up since 4:45am and hadn’t really eaten yet.  And the baby needed food!  It’s ok, I also had a banana so it wasn’t all bad for me ;-)

Blog posts will be more sparse this week since I’ll be doing my best to just BE at the conference.  But I promise to tell you about it next week when I get home!

Happy Monday, everyone!
