I’m not sure exactly when Jessie and I first met, but I do remember hitting it off pretty quickly. And if you have had the opportunity to meet her or be in front of her camera yourself, you know how easy it is to be drawn in to her warm and inviting personality! What I do remember is the first time she and her family were in front of my camera, they were a family of 3… and now they’re a family of 5!
For their session, we decided to do something a little different. Instead of having an at-home newborn session, we opted to meet at The Village Studio. As anyone who has brought home a new baby can tell you (I’m raising my hand too), thinking of having a clean house AND having everyone ready for photos can feel a bit overwhelming. (Side note: I do encourage my newborn clients to only focus on one or two rooms for their at-home newborn sessions for this very reason!) But I’m open to options when it comes to helping my clients have a more stress-free and enjoyable session!
Callaghan and his big sisters were a J O Y! Everyone needed a snack and some encouragement during our time together (truly, no one wants anyone to be hangry!), but the pauses during the session were completely worth it.
Enjoy some of my favorites and be sure to give Jessie a follow on Instagram too!
This one stopped me in my tracks when I was editing and I knew it had to be in black & white for the blog!
We did some photos in front of some backdrops, but these were far from the Olan Mills days of photos!
Also, watching their former baby become a big sister is precious!!
