Dear Ben,

It’s hard to believe that just one year ago we were only at the beginning of this journey of being husband and wife.  Some days it feels like we’ve been married for ages and some days I remember our wedding as clear as if it just happened yesterday.  There are so many things I love about being married to you and I’ll never be able to name them all…

I love falling into your arms when you come home from work.  I love snuggling up on the couch as we watch tv or as I fall asleep while you watch Top Gear :-)  I love cooking with you, I love working out with you, I love dreaming with you, I love planning our future together, I love shooting weddings with you, I love taking trips with you, I love being “an old married couple” with you… I love being your partner, I love being your best friend, I love supporting you, I love that I get to be by your side, I love that no matter what comes our way that we’ll get to face it together.

Thank you for loving me. Thank you for choosing me. Thank you for caring for me. Thank you for pursuing me. Thank you for protecting me. Thank you for providing for me. Thank you for encouraging me. Thank you for praying for me and with me. Thank you for working as hard as you do. Thank you for being as fun as you are. Thank you for making me laugh. Thank you for helping me to learn how to love you better.  Thank you for loving God more than you’ll ever love me.

Baby, this past year has been SO much fun.  And if this is supposedly “the worst/hardest year of our marriage”, then I’m even MORE excited for the next 50 years!
