Reese | At-Home Newborn Session

This sweet girl.  I’ve only seen her twice since the day she was born, but she is SO precious.  And going through these photos to pick my favorites to blog just make me want to rush over and snuggle her as much as I can!

I don’t know if it’s because she’s a second born (like our own Isabella) or because she’s just that laid back (also like Isabella), but she was so calm for her newborn photos and even slept the majority of the time!  To give you a little insight, newborns almost never sleep for me when I have a camera in hand, which is the main reason why my newborn sessions are more “lifestyle” as opposed to posing the sleeping baby.

But as you’ll see, not every photo is perfect with everyone smiling and looking at the camera.  Thankfully, Stephanie and Joe are so laid back and they LOVE that I caught a photo of both girls crying :-)  It’s real life and it’s the best!

Welcome to the world, sweet baby Reese.  We are SO thankful you are here and you are SO loved!

I knew this one would be my favorite the second they both started crying :-)
Don’t hate me, girls… I love you both to pieces!!

I’m sure I’ll be posting this for many Mondays to come.

We wrapped her big sister in this same swaddle and put her in the same basket for her newborn photos… and I still love it!

I’ve known Stephanie for almost 8 years now and we’ve walked a LOT of life together in that short amount of time.  But one of the things I love about going to her house is the reminder of that when I see the photos on her walls.  The ones above their bed are from their engagement session we did back in 2011!  Steph, thank you for letting me be a part of your lives… and for letting me document so much of it through photos :-)
