Paige + Clay | Grace Church Downtown + Greenbriar Farms

Saturday could not have been a MORE perfect day!  The weather actually felt like fall and it was the best way to kick off our fall weddings!

I met Clay two summers ago when he was an intern at church.  He was by far the tallest intern that summer and I always had to crane my neck when talking with him.  Fast forward a year and this sweet girl from UNC Chapel Hill finds herself in the same seat that Clay was in the summer before.  By this point they had been dating a little while and well, they were just the cutest.  So when they came by my office about 14 months ago to tell me that they were engaged, I’m pretty sure I squealed with excitement!!  These two are so solid in their faith and it’s SO obvious that they don’t just love each other, but they love PEOPLE.  And it was so obvious at their wedding on Saturday as friends and family gathered to celebrate their marriage.  I don’t know that there’s ever been more cheering at a wedding and reception than there was on Saturday!

As Matt Kelley charged them to not just love each other but to listen, respect and learn from each other in marriage, I couldn’t help but imagine the road they’ve just walked onto and what it will look like down the road.  I imagine a house full of friends and ministry.  I imagine lots of laughter between them both.  And I imagine MANY high fives along the way!

Paige and Clay… THANK YOU.  Thank you for letting me into your life, for sharing your love with those around you (including us!) and for allowing us the honor to document your first day as husband and wife.  I hope you have an AMAZING time in Italy and I can’t wait to see you when you get back!

lots of love,
sabrina

The girls were getting ready at the house where Paige lived during her internship… such a sweet family and gorgeous home!

A last minute decision for a Daddy/Daughter First Look was just perfect.

I love that they chose to do a First Look… and it was SO sweet!

Paige twirled so Clay could see all of her dress…

…and not to be out done, Clay twirled too!

If there’s one thing these two know how to do together, it’s laugh.

I adore little stone bridges.

This wedding party?  One of the best wedding parties out there!

This little cutie is Paige’s little sister and she came close to stealing the show several times!

See girls?  I told you this would look great!

Simple Stems… the flowers were simply gorgeous!

The grey suits made the guys look quite dapper.

Guys, your “laughing photo” turned out great too!

Speaking of bridges, I wanted one more bridge shot before we headed to the church.

Love!

Paige’s other sister, Caroline, painted their thumbprint tree… and several other canvases for the wedding.  As soon as she opens her Etsy shop, I’ll link to it!

“Today and every day.”

Paige’s aunt stopped by before the ceremony to give her a necklace that had belonged to Paige’s grandmother.
Her aunt and cousin had worn it on their wedding days and wanted to share the tradition!

Ben caught this super adorable photo of Clay’s memaw before the service… I just had to include it!

Ah!  I was dying with cuteness when Katy sat down!

I know I say it every time, but goodness, I love this church.

Remember those high fives I told you about?  They totally high fived after communion and lighting the unity candle!

MARRIED!!!

They were in such awe that it was for real… they could barely stop laughing and smiling…

…and kissing!  Which makes my job super easy :-)

I’ve been to Greenbrier Farms before, but it had been a while… I just couldn’t stop looking at everything!  It was beautiful!

And the food?  Oh my heavens, so good!

We scheduled in some time for a few more photos before being introduced at the reception.  I knew it would be golden hour and oh my heavens, it was perfect!

DEFINITELY one of my favorites from the day!

This photo right here?  It’s catching things like this that made me fall in love with my job in the first place.

Greenbrier even has a small vineyard!  Love it.

The dance floor opened pretty quickly and everyone took advantage!

Congratulations again, you guys!!
